Semen Retention: me, this blog and its objectives

May 2, 2026 6 min read

There is a kind of knowledge that cannot be found in books — or rather, that can only be confirmed by living it. I had read enough about semen retention before beginning. I had read the Taoist texts, the Ayurvedic passages, the forum posts at three in the morning. None of it prepared me for what actually happened when I stopped.

The energy does not disappear. It transmutes — and that transmutation is the entire practice.

This blog exists because I needed a place to think out loud. Not to convince anyone of anything. Not to sell a programme or a protocol. The practice speaks for itself, if you let it. What I offer here is an account — honest, imperfect, and ongoing.

What this is not

This is not a NoFap success story blog, though I have walked that path. It is not a masculinity manifesto. It is not medical advice. It is a record of one man’s attempt to understand what happens when he stops leaking his life force into the void, and starts directing it somewhere.

What I intend to explore

Philosophy and practice in equal measure. The ancient sources — Taoist sexual kung fu, the Brahmacharya tradition, Mantak Chia — alongside the lived, week-by-week reality of sustaining the practice in a modern life full of friction and distraction. I will write about failure too. Clarity is only meaningful if you are honest about the fog that preceded it.

If you are here, you probably already know why. Welcome.
